The Baby Show
Love, Law, Charity and Shame lie at the bottom of many a birth; these themes are unvestigated by an expert, a deliberately barren spinster accompanied by her dog love child.
Stand up comedy, a live Bull Terrier, surrogate parents played by hand knitted nativity puppets. The style is sometimes knock-about, very funny and well...a bit harsh. This brashness is interwoven with delicate memories of true family stories of babies and relationships that disappeared and reappeared. As the performers own story, the tone is of laughter, chased and haunted by glimmering shadows.
The Baby Show is available for touring in 2012.

a comfortable campfire atmosphere. The clever use of props and shadow puppets set a soothing framework... all in all The Baby Show is a warm hearted, optimistic and engagingly performed work.

Donna leaves you with no doubt that she is a born storyteller – and I'm sure many in the audience would have happily stayed and listened to more entertaining yarns. The Baby Show is an unexpected treat – whether you are a dog or cat person.
Angus Cameron Theatre People Review
The Baby Show deserves to be seen by anyone who is fascinated by the way we live as people, and by the choices that we make or are made for us. That is a broad audience indeed.
